Sara Allen

Sara is a Boston based maker of things. She currently works as an exhibit fabricator for the Boston Children’s Museum and is an instructor at Stonybrook Fine Arts. When not building for other people, she enjoys creating furniture that subverts its own functionality and asks the user to question their own material surroundings. She enjoys playing with a wide variety of materials but is particularly skilled in welding, blacksmithing, and fabrication of various metals. She is also proficient in various foundry processes such as mold making, pattern making, and casting. She is available for custom projects and commissions.
