Dale Savit

Dale Savit has been an artist, first as a jeweler, then as a ceramicist and welder for over 30 years. As an artist, he tries to bring to Stonybrook Fine Arts a range of knowledge to guide students in using their own abilities to create objects to enhance their lives.  He believes the creative process brings a sense of self, and that creativity, once practiced, will always be available for working with whatever issues present themselves in art and life.  It is the making of objects using hands, minds, and heart that excites him.  It is the teaching of this process as a guide that lets him give something back to the community.
